A Note of Thanks
Hello to all. I didn’t plan on writing anything for this blog until closer to the release date of "for one more day" but people have been so responsive to the email we sent out a few weeks ago that I felt compelled to already say "thank you."
I am glad to read that the book’s theme is resonating with so many people who also wonder what it would be like to have one more day with someone they’ve lost.
Our plans for the fall are pretty extensive. I will essentially be going on a nine week book tour all across the country. I love meeting readers and this time I plan on doing a good amount of talks where I can tell stories about the books and my experiences and not just sit and mechanically sign books. I hope you are able to come out and say hello if I am anywhere near you. Check this website for the tour schedule. The first day the book comes out September 26th - I will be doing Good Morning America on ABC around 8 a.m., so if you’re curious about the book, that’s the first glimpse. The following day, in my home town of Detroit, we are having a gala charity event with Tony Bennett, Hank Azaria and Joe Dumars at the Fox Theater downtown. Mainly, I wanted to say how excited I am to see and hear early responses from readers. Launching a book is a nerve-racking thing, even more so if, like me, you don’t come out with new books every year. So your messages are much appreciated.

I am so excited about the new book I have read each one. I ordered the book a while back and cant wait to recieve it. You are an inspiration and wanted you to know how much I appreciate your work.Hope you have plans for many more books to come. Your book could not have come out at a better time. My girls lost their father two weeks ago. We came to see you the last time you were in Wichita at the WSU Metro-Plex.
It was very inspiring.
We are looking forward to buying and reading this book and will be at the Grand Chapel in Wichita to see you on the 15th of November.

I just bought your newest book and it was a wonderfuil book it was ver inspriring book. I can't wait untill more of your books come out so I can read it I have also read the five people you meet in heaven and the books you have written has tought me to count my blessings everyday. I also like that your books are quick reads so then i can go on to the next book of yours.

Dear Mr. Albom:
I have never written to an author of a book before. I have never had cause to until I first experienced your writing. You had me at "Tuesdays With Morrie" and "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" was another masterpiece. I have yet to read "For One More Day," but I will very soon.
The endearing and loving forgiveness or your novels never cease to amaze me. It makes me remember the goodness of humankind. I work with seniors in my profession and your messages strike a chord with me as I help those who are facing the end of their lives. I want to hear their story, their history.
Even before you wrote "For One More Day" and seeing your appearance on Oprah,I have always wanted one more day with my grandmother. A woman, growing up in the depression and a young adult mother and wife in World War II who achieved a college education and becoming a beloved teacher. If I could have one more day with her, I'd ask how she saw past all the obstacles to achieve her dream.
I look forward to more of your books and the messages you will bring.
Also, off the subject. We are big fans of yours in the sports world. My husband and I never miss "The Sports Reporters" on ESPN.
